The name of the village has to do with the industriousness of the inhabitants, who, under the harsh conditions of survival, had to put their minds to work, like the bee, which is a model of industriousness.

The wild nature with the abundant waters and the fir-covered forests gives the village a special natural beauty. During your visit there you have the opportunity to get to know one of the most beautiful places in Tzoumerka.
Pramanta is the village you will encounter, at an altitude of 780 meters. It is the largest of the surrounding villages, with the local stone dominating even the roof of the Church of Agia Paraskevi.
From here, if you look up, you will see the imposing Strongoula, one of the most impressive peaks of the Greek mountains. It has a height of 2,112 meters and you will often see its bare, rocky masses standing out even from among the clouds.

Continuing towards Melissourgoi, the landscape changes slightly. Around you are the imposing peaks of Tzoumerka and, lower down, the fir forests, the reason why the area has been characterized as the "Alps of Greece."
In the large square of the village, a large plane tree dominates, and a little further down you will see the fountains with clean, running water from springs. Here in Melissourgoi, there is also a mountaineering refuge operating a little above the village, which, in addition to accommodation, offers food and coffee with an impressive view.

A relatively easy hike that is worth attempting is the one that leads to Kefalovryso, one of the largest waterfalls in Greece. It is 350 meters long and you will see the water flowing between the vertical and imposing rocks. Depending on the season, the waterfall will have much or little water, which comes from the melting snow higher up. In fact, during the summer months, you will see several hikers who have come here in their swimwear and are cooling off under the waters of the waterfall.
